Founder/Artistic Director:  Ranardo-Domeico Grays,  native of Detroit,  formerly of the Rebecca Kelly Ballet, and an alumnus of The Juilliard School and California Institute of the Arts (BFA), has performed throughout the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Europe.   His company, VISIONS Contemporary Ballet, is an innovative contemporary ballet company, exuding strength and passion in every piece.  The repertoire transcends any one culture. Each piece seamlessly combines dance styles using a ballet technique base with strong elements of modern and African dance and rhythms. Choreographically VISIONS relays universal messages of the human experience, and can be enjoyed by audiences of any age.

VISIONS Contemporary Ballet, established in 2005, has performed over ten original ballets choreographed by Ranardo since its inception.  The company was presented as part of the Uptown/Downtown Work-in-Progress performance development program sponsored by The Field/Lower Manhattan Cultural Council/Harlem Arts Alliance at the Dance Theatre of Harlem and the Chen Dance Center; was part of BAAD’s Blaktino Performance Series, the Bronx, for the past two years; and was a special guest in New York Sports Clubs’ Best Dance Crew Showcase at Harlem Stage/Aaron Davis Hall. VISIONS presented two evenings of works, “In Remembrance,” dedicated to the lives lost and survivors of 9/11, at the Roy Arias Theater.  The company was presented by The Field and Abrons Arts in the Fall Fielday Performance at Abrons Arts Center Henry Street Settlement.  VISIONS also performed at Tribeca Performing Arts Center and collaborated with Blue Muse Dance in a program presented by The Flea Theater and in Reach, a co-production at the Producers Club.

We are always looking for board members, supporters, contributors, donors, dancers (ballet/pointe, modern, African/hip hop) and more performance opportunities.

We are raising funds to cover production and travel expenses.    Would you consider a contribution of $5, $10, $25 or more today, in support of this exciting and important opportunity for VISIONS Contemporary Ballet?
